What Is The Difference Between Full Loan And Half Loan On A Horse?

Full loan basically means you are the sole person responsible for the horse, half loan is where you share the horse with another person, so both of you have use of him/her. Often people who own a horse but don’t have alot of time put the horse up for half loan so that between the two of you the horse gets alot of time spent with it.
I am going to assume that you are talking about a lease. And usually for a full lease you get riding rights all days of the week, with no limits to the amount of riding time/lesson times.
with a half less usually you only get to ride (just having fun or in lessons) a certain amount of days a week. Usually around 3 days a week. There also may be other rules set.
Each lease is different. You would have to talk to the person you are leasing the horse from to get the exact details before you sign any papers.
Full loan is like share except you dont pay vet bills, you just care for most of the horse needs,
half loan may sometimes mean you excercise and feed and other stuff or they do something and you do something,
so basically your just chipping in and helping out
hope this helps
I lease my old trail gelding out, i currently have him on full lease to a girl back home. For full lease, she obviously gets full use of all facilities at my barn. She can ride him whenever she wants, and she can trailer him to trail rides – although i must know about them. But anything else she can do really. I do not allow anyone but the leasee to ride. I charge $300 for this.
I used to half lease him out, they got to ride three times a week, full use of facilities, etc. I charge $150, but at the time i was doing two half leases.. so two people would ride on seperate days.
Well I Have one on full and one on half

my full costs me 30 a week and my half costs me 15 a week.
with evreything included. bedding hay feed and rugs and tack
i have to share my half loan with another woman though. but its ok cos she is dead nice
hehe
hope this helps
xx
half loan is a couple of days a week – mostly the owners dont want you to move yards.
full loan sometimes the owner lets you move yards and you have full care of the horse XOXOXOXXOXOOXOXOXXOXOXO
