I need to get a 2000 dollar loan to get my transcript from my old school to give to my new school. My new school told me I won’t be able to use my financial aid until I can give them my transcript. I have tried just about everything I can find, lowering my credit score even further in the process. I have visited my school’s financial aid department just to recieve blank looks. I am interested in buying a home and there is a program that offers 7500 toward closing costs and down payment for homes in specific subdivisions by specific builders. The loan is forgiveable if I stay in the house for ten years . My credit score is 650. I read somewhere that I might have to recapture tax for some of the benefits of the downpayment assistance. I’m a sophmore in college this year, and I’m planing to move in with 4 roomates. I have a part-time job and plan to pay for rent thru student loans once my fafsa finally gets processed. The only thing I’m worried about this situation is if fafsa and my loans don’t give me enough money to cover my off campus living. Is this something I should be worried about? Also, I applied for a student loan but can’t get the money without my aid going thru first, is this normal? This whole process has my head spinning, I wish the state would just hand me my money so I could be at ease and go thru this without any doubt/worries. Any insite would be greatly appreciated.
