Credit report information on home loans

January 4th, 2011

The credit information report, CIR as it is termed is the history of the client’s spending habits over the past months. This is considered as one of the most important documents during the processing and approval of home loans. Maintaining a good credit history would help facilitate the process of application and approval of home loan.

What does CIR mean? It is an account of your salary amount, take away per month. This indicates your total salary as well as for application of loan even the other earning spouse’s salary is also considered. The total expenditure incurred during the previous months and the remaining part of the amount as savings. Also whether the client has repaid on time or defaulted counts during the approval of the loan. Hence if the borrower has to apply for a loan one has to be thorough with financial matters. All bills and taxes must be paid on time. The credit card amount has to be paid on every monthly basis. Expenses have to be curtailed leaving a substantial amount remaining as savings. Many different types of loans like vehicle loan, personal loan and so on indicate that you have compulsory repayment schedules and this may affect negatively your chances of loan approval. If many applications for loans have been applied then this would also indicate that the amount of repayment may become a big one every month and this may be considered as a negative point by the lender.

Having a credit card and do not spend very best as it shows that you are financially secure and all your costs are controlled without using a credit card. You must also remember that there is always a high amount of the interest rate applied to this amount is used as a credit.

Can A Stafford School Government Loan Affect Your Credit Report?

How Long Does Take For A Student Loan Creditor To Report To Credit Bureaus A Past Due Balance As Finally Paid?

September 16th, 2009

Hi Experts!
I am recovering from a hit to my credit report in the form of two consecutive non-payments on a small student loan. The loan bill was sent to my parents house who are retired and have been in Europe for the past 3 months so I don’t completely blame myself. However – I just paid the payment balance last week and i’m curious about the effect it will have on my report.
So my questions are:
1)Will it take a month for the loan creditor to report the payment to the credit bureaus or is this more of an instantaneous process?
2)Now that the account dues are paid, will the loan be removed from the “adverse accounts” section of my report and will my score jump up at all?
I’m really interested in building up my score – this hit was a real punch in the nose for me. I guess there are always bumps in the road :(
Well thanks in advance for all of your help and I’m looking forward to reading your responses.

Where Can I Report A Loan Company Who Repeatedly Calls Asking For Someone Who Has Never Lived At My Residence?

September 6th, 2009

I used to have a room mate (Angie). The phone was in my name. I moved out and moved my phone account with me. Angie’s nephew (Frank) apparently got a loan and gave the loan company my number though he has never lived with Angie nor me. I have told the loan company that Frank does’t live here and never has. Each time they call, the caller is a different person and I keep asking them to stop calling my number. My number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry but it is my understanding that they can’t help me because of the “established business relationship” exemption, even though I don’t do business with them.
