I recently filed for unemployment and I am getting a steady check from the unemployment office. My girlfriend is still employed full-time and her job seems to be stable. We want to see if we qualify for a home loan using her income and my unemployment income. Do you know if my unemployment income counts and if it will help us in getting approved for the loan or if it will hurt us?

When Does Interest Start On My Direct Subsidized Loan?
February 21st, 2010I have a direct subsidized loan for $1718 first semester and $1717 second semester. I need some of this money for gas to get to and from school. I want to take the whole thing and just put it into a separate bank account and just use what i need for gas. The problem is i don’t know if the interest starts six months after i take the loan or six months after i graduate. I dint want tons of interest to pay! So basically i just need to know is if i take the money will it accumulate interest while im still in school?
How Does Selling My Land Affect My Taxes And Ability To Take Out A Student Loan?
February 16th, 2010I have a vacant lot, and I need to sell it, but I’m not sure how that would affect my tax status for the next year. I normally don’t have to pay any taxes, so would that affect my getting a refund? Also, I will be applying for student loans soon, and I would like to know if that would make me less eligible to take out a stafford/private student loan?
